This is a true story that took place about 25 yrs ago. One evening a new wife (could be me) was late and getting dinner on the table. The husband ( might have been Dave) was tired and hungry when he came home and dinner was not ready. The husband asked his wife to have dinner on the table each night at 5:00. The wife tried to tell her husband he was not always home at 5, but he refuse to listen.
The next day...the husband's dinner was on the table with a glass of milk at 5:00 just has the husband had asked.
When the husband came home after 6 the wife showed her husband that is dinner was ready for him. He was pleased and thanked his wife. He washed up and sat down to eat.
He tasted his food and replied....it's cold. It is? the wife said...well, it has been there since 5. He then tasted the milk...the milk is warm he said. Really, the wife replied...it was cold when I put it on the table at 5...just like you asked me too.
The husband said not another word. He eat this dinner, drank his milk and never was upset when dinner was not on the table at 5:00
